Getting four generations onto the same dance floor.
Birthdays, baby showers, Quinceañeras, graduations, backyard parties and cultural celebrations. The rooms where your grandmother and your cousins want completely different songs, and everybody still ends up dancing.
What I cover
Every kind of celebration
Forty people in a backyard in Royal Palm Beach, a family party in Wellington, or two hundred guests in a Boca Raton ballroom. If people are gathering, there is a way to do it right.
Birthdays & milestones
Milestone birthdays
Thirtieth, fortieth, fiftieth, sixtieth, seventieth and beyond. A set built around the guest of honor's era and the people who showed up for them.
Anniversaries & retirements
Twenty-five years of marriage or thirty years at the same company. Toasts, tributes, slideshows and a floor that gets the whole family up.
Engagement & bridal showers
The celebrations before the wedding. Lighter setup, conversation-level sound, and announcements handled so the hosts can enjoy it. When the big day comes, see my wedding DJ services.
Housewarmings & reunions
New homes and family reunions. Sound that fits the space, and music that reaches everybody who traveled to be there.
Coming of age
Quinceañeras
The formal entrance, the father-daughter dance, the surprise dance and the changing of the shoes, all cued and announced. Then a floor that keeps the court and the tías happy at the same time. Cold sparks or dancing on clouds can be added for the grand entrance.
Sweet 16s
Built for the teenagers without losing the parents in the room. Clean edits by default, current music, and announcements when they matter.
Bar & Bat Mitzvahs
Hora and traditional segments handled alongside the current music the kids actually want. Coordination with your planner and the venue timeline.
Graduations
High school, FIU, FAU, Miami, Nova. Backyards, halls and restaurant back rooms, with shout-outs on the mic for everybody who earned one.
Family celebrations
Baby showers
Daytime energy, conversation-level sound, games and announcements run from the mic so the host is not shouting over a speaker.
Gender reveals
The whole room built toward one moment. Music timed to the reveal, and the countdown handled so nobody has to organize it themselves.
Christenings & communions
Receptions after the ceremony. Respectful volume, family-appropriate music, and a gradual build once the older guests have eaten.
Celebrations of life
Repasts and memorial gatherings. Music chosen with the family beforehand, handled with care and without a heavy hand on the microphone.
South Florida, outdoors
House & backyard parties
Compact setup that fits the space without taking over your living room. Full sound, proper lighting, and no hundred-person rig in a room that seats forty.
Pool & patio parties
Outdoor sound that carries over water and conversation, with equipment placed and protected for a Florida afternoon.
Boat & yacht parties
Compact, low-power setups for charters out of Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach. Sound that works in the space a boat actually gives you.
Block parties & community events
Neighborhood gatherings, church functions and community days. Announcements, family-appropriate music and volume kept neighborly.
Kids & school age
Children’s birthday parties
Clean edits only, volume kept where parents can still talk, and the music pitched at the kids actually in the room rather than a generic children’s playlist. Happy Birthday cued when the cake comes out.
Themed and character parties
If there is a theme, send it to me. Soundtracks, entrance music and the songs the kids will ask for anyway, lined up before the day so nobody is searching on their phone.
Games and dance contests
Freeze dance, limbo, musical chairs and dance-offs, run from the booth with the music cut to the moment. It keeps a room of kids moving without anyone needing to organise them.
Teen parties and end of year
Current music with clean edits as the default, not an option you have to ask for. Built so the teenagers get the night they want and the parents in the room stay comfortable.
School fundraisers and PTA events
Fall festivals, carnivals, field days and family nights. Outdoor setups with sound sized to open ground, and announcements handled so your organisers are not shouting across a field.
Sports banquets and team parties
Awards nights, end of season banquets and team celebrations. Music low while the program runs, then the floor opens once the speeches are done.
Cultural celebrations
Haitian celebrations
Kompa, zouk and Haitian classics alongside current music, for the celebrations that fill halls across Broward and Palm Beach every weekend.
Caribbean & island
Reggae, soca, dancehall and calypso. Jamaican, Trinidadian, Bahamian and Bajan celebrations where the music is not background, it is the point.
Latin celebrations
Salsa, bachata, merengue, reggaeton and cumbia, mixed with the Top 40 the younger guests came for. Cuban, Colombian, Venezuelan, Puerto Rican and Dominican rooms.
African & Afrobeat
Afrobeats, amapiano and highlife for Nigerian, Ghanaian and pan-African celebrations, blended with what the rest of the room knows.
Holidays & watch parties
New Year's Eve
The countdown, the toast and the set that carries the room into the new year. Books earliest of any date on the calendar.
Halloween & themed nights
Costume parties, decade themes and all-white parties. The music matched to the theme rather than fighting it.
Summer holidays
Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day cookouts. Outdoor sound, daytime pacing and a set that runs from lunch to sunset.
Game day & watch parties
Super Bowl, World Cup and playoff nights. Audio switched between the broadcast and the music, with the room read around the score.
Karaoke
Karaoke, run by a DJ
Karaoke works best when somebody is actually running it. I set up the system, keep the queue moving, and switch over to a dance set when the room is ready for one.
Guests pick songs from their phones
Everyone scans a code and adds their song to the queue. No clipboard, no line at the table, and I keep the order fair.
Set for the singer
Key and tempo can be adjusted, and the guide vocals turned up or down, so nobody is stuck singing in somebody else's range.
Lyrics on screen
Lyrics play on a TV or screen. Tell me what your space has when we plan, and I will build the setup around it.
Karaoke and dancing in one night
Open with a karaoke hour and move into the dance set, or break karaoke up between sets. The night goes where the room wants it to.
Why it works
Different generations. Different tastes. One room.
A fiftieth birthday can put parents, grandparents, cousins, old friends and coworkers in the same room, and every one of those groups responds to different music. Play too young and the aunts sit down. Play too old and the cousins go outside. Most DJs pick one and lose half the party.
Top 40, R&B, hip-hop, Latin, Kompa, Zouk, Soca, Afrobeat, disco and classics, moved between as the floor tells me what it needs. Sixteen years of South Florida rooms means I have already seen your family's version of this.
Tell me who is coming and what you want the night to feel like, and I will handle the rest.
What comes with it
Sound, mic and lighting
Scaled to your space rather than to the biggest room I own.
Sound sized to the room
A backyard, a rented hall and a restaurant back room all need different setups. I bring what fits, so your party is not fighting a system built for three hundred people.
Announcements handled
Entrances, toasts, games, the cake, the reveal, the shout-outs. Wireless mic available whenever someone in the family wants to say something.
Available enhancements
Uplighting, cold sparks, dancing on clouds, a monogram or name light, a photo booth and video for slideshows are available through trusted event partners. They are coordinated as part of your booking, so you still have one point of contact.
Your list and your no-list
Send must-plays and anything you never want to hear. I build the framework from your list and read the room live from there.
Clean edits if you want them
Kids at the party, or grandparents you would rather not explain a lyric to? Say the word and the whole night runs on radio edits.
Backup on site
Backup equipment travels with me to every event, whatever the size. It is rarely needed. It is always there.

In the booth
Not stock footage
Shot at a South Florida event I worked. No actors, no rented gear, no borrowed dance floor.

Common questions
Before you book
How far in advance should I book?
Private parties often come together in four to eight weeks. Weekends in season go faster than that, so if you have a date in mind it is worth checking early. If your date is close, call or text.
Do you DJ children’s birthday parties?
Yes. Clean edits only, volume kept where parents can still hold a conversation, and music pitched at the kids actually in the room. I will run freeze dance, limbo and dance contests from the booth if you want the party to have some structure.
Can you work a school fundraiser or PTA event?
Yes. Fall festivals, carnivals, field days and family nights. Outdoor events need sound sized for open ground rather than a room, so tell me early whether you are on a field, a courtyard or inside.
Is my party too small to book a DJ?
No. A backyard graduation and a hundred-and-fifty person birthday get the same preparation, just different equipment. I bring a setup sized to your space rather than the biggest system I own.
What does it cost?
Every quote is built around hours, guest count, venue and add-ons, so I price it after we talk. Your date is secured with a signed agreement and 30% retainer, with the balance due 14 days before the event. I accept credit and debit cards, ACH, Zelle, and other approved payment methods.
Can you handle announcements and games?
Yes. Entrances, toasts, the cake, the reveal, shout-outs and any games you have planned. There is a wireless mic available whenever someone in the family wants to say something.
My family speaks more than one language and spans four generations. Can you handle that?
That is the room I know best. Top 40, R&B, Latin, Kompa, Zouk, Soca, Afrobeat and classics, moved between as the floor shifts. Tell me who is coming and I will build for it.
Can we do karaoke at the party?
Yes. Karaoke runs on a licensed professional catalog, guests queue songs from their phones, and I keep it moving. It works as its own hour or mixed in with the dance set, which is usually what birthdays and house parties want.
Can we give you a playlist?
Yes, and I recommend it. Send must-plays and anything you never want to hear. I build the framework from your list and read the room live from there.
Do you do daytime events?
Yes. Baby showers, brunches, graduations and family days work differently from a night party, mostly in volume and pacing, and the setup adjusts for it.
Do you travel?
Palm Beach County is home base, and I regularly work in Miami-Dade, St. Lucie, Broward and Martin counties, from Port St. Lucie down to Miami. Anything further, including the Keys, is quoted with the package. If you are not sure whether your address is in range, just ask.
Let's planthe party.
Tell me the date and who is coming, and I will let you know whether I am available.
