This policy explains what information DSM Services & Media LLC, doing business as DJ SelfMade, collects through bookdjselfmade.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. If you have a question that is not answered here, contact me using the details at the bottom of this page.
Information you give me
When you submit a booking request, I receive the details you enter. Depending on the form, that can include your name, phone number, email address, company name, event date, event type, venue, guest count, hours needed, budget range, the services and paperwork you are interested in, whether you are working with a planner, and any message you write.
I use this information to check availability, prepare a quote, and communicate with you about your event. If you book, I keep it for the length of our working relationship and as long as needed for contracts, invoicing, taxes and legal obligations.
Services that help run this site
A few outside services process information on my behalf. None of them are given permission to sell your information.
Web3Forms receives your form submission and delivers it to my email inbox.
Cloudflare hosts and secures this website. Like most hosts, it processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site. Loading them sends your IP address and browser information to Google.
Google Analytics tells me how many people visit the site, which pages they read, and whether they tap the phone number or send a booking request. It sets cookies and receives your IP address, which is shortened before storage. I use it to understand what is working on the site. It does not receive the contents of your form, and I cannot use it to identify you personally.
Meta Pixel is a tool from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It records visits to pages on this site and when a booking request is successfully sent. I use this to understand whether my advertising reaches people who are actually planning events, and to show ads to people who have visited the site. Meta may use cookies and combine this with other information it holds about you according to its own privacy policy. The pixel does not receive the contents of your form.
What I do not do
I do not sell your personal information. I do not share it with anyone outside the services above, except when you ask me to (for example, sending your details to your planner or venue to coordinate your event) or when required by law.
Your choices
You can control Meta advertising based on your activity through your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, and you can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. You can also ask me to see, correct, or delete the information you submitted by contacting me directly. If you have a signed contract with me, some records have to be kept for business and tax purposes.
Links to other sites
This site links to Instagram, WhatsApp and Google. Those services have their own privacy policies, and this one does not cover them.
Children
This site is intended for adults planning events. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If I add new tools or change how information is used, I will update this page and the date at the top.
